"Breaking Our Hearts Open," Zenyu's special healing ceremony and meditation for Mike Brown, Eric Garner, and Ferguson brought over 50 people out on December 15th to affirm together in a sacred community space that all black lives matter. Opening the night was a powerful reflection by Cambrie Nelson, a Zenyu community member who runs a narrative-based community building organization in St. Louis and has been organizing in Ferguson for several years. The always amazing Christa Bell led the group in a moving body-based meditation and grieving ritual that brought us all in touch with our hearts--the place where all true and lasting transformation must come from. A deep bow of gratitude to all who joined us that night. Special thanks to Cambrie, Christa, Kristi Brown-Wokoma, and Lulu Carpenter and all of our incredible volunteers that night.
