Heritage Project
In 2014, Zenyu will launch the Heritage Project, a groundbreaking new leadership development project that will engage emerging community leaders from racial backgrounds, including people with European ancestry, to collectively explore our rich cultural heritage and ancestral identities as a lens to inform our leadership in community change, and racial justice and political work. Heritage Project participants will become curious investigators and powerful co-creators of the history, narratives, and culture of our families and ethnic communities. Project members and the larger Zenyu community will connect with Seattle-based ethnic communities and use these connections as the basis to inform social change efforts based on issues impacting them.
